Interviews: Gertjan
Fortuin
1. Will you introduce,
just like Barbara, yourself?
My name is Gertjan without hyphen. My surname is Fortuin. I'm 22 years old and
I live in Maarssenbroek, just above Utrecht.
2. What is your
education level and what work have you done?
I have done the MAVO, LTS and MTS (technical). After that I started working as
a host in a restaurant. I wasn't really interested in that. What I'm doing now
is much and much better.
3. Do you sport too and
do you have a hobby?
I jog much and with pleasure. After my work I run long ends. I do that for my
condition and not as a training, because I don't participate in races. I'm not
a club member either, because I don't have time for that.
4. Do you watch many
TV?
No, not really. What I don't forget to watch is "The Prince of Bel
Air". I think that's really humor. I also like to watch big tennis
tournaments and events. I'm looking forward to the Olympic Games this summer
in Barcelona.
5. What is the most
beautiful video game according to you?
If that may be a video game that is not for sale in the Netherlands yet? Then
I say "Act Raiser". That is a very comprehensive adventure with a
lot of action. For the Super Nintendo. It's the number 1 in the States for
months.
Besides, for the Nintendo I persist in finding that "Battle of
Olympus" is the most beautiful game.
6. Which video game do
you think is the hardest for you and why?
For me that's "Hyper Lode Runner" for the Game Boy. You have to get
through 99 different levels. In every level you have to collect treasures in a
certain order. If I don't do that correctly, I can start all over again.
And…how further I will come, the harder it gets. But that applies not only
for me, I know that from my experience.
7. What is your
personal Nintendo Top III?
Those are consecutively "Battle of Olympus", "Kickle
Cubicle" and "The Adventure of Link". I think that at the
moment for the whole Netherlands "Maniac Mansion" is going to be the
number one hit!
8. Last question? Have
you played all Nintendo games?
No. Not all yet, because there are so many. But I have played the most by far.
As a matter of fact that are precisely the sorts of video games, which appeal
me the most.
