Different name, same game?

In Europe a couple of games were released under a different name. The most famous changes are the games that were renamed because the word 'ninja' was in the title. This happened because a certain German company wanted this. Germany is still going strong with their censorship. Therefore it's strange that there are two games (Bad Dudes and Joe & Mac) where they put the word 'ninja' in the European title although it wasn't in the US title.
