Interviews: Barbara Beckman

1. Can you give a short description about yourself?
My name is Barbara. My surname is Beckman. I have just become twenty and at the moment I'm living in IJsselstein; that's not very far away from here.

2. What have you done until now? Education? Work?
After the primary school I did a LBO-education (low job education) for four years. After that I started working. First I worked in a cheese store, after that I worked at a company that handled in glass. When I came to Club Nintendo, I got a training to become game counselor during two months.

3. Do you have any hobbies or do you sport?
About sport. I love surfing. I windsurf a lot in my free time, especially in summer. I can say that I'm fairly good at it. I also sport inside. I play basketball at Jump IJsselstein, a little, cozy combination that doesn't exist very long.
My hobbies? Video games. Just like most of my colleagues here, I was able to turn my hobby into my job. By the way, I'm not only playing video games from Nintendo but also other kinds. This way I keep abreast.

4. Do you like music?
Of course. Who doesn't? Only, I don't have a special or favorite artist or band. I think every music style is good, except hard rock. Sometimes I listen to classic music too.

5. About which video game(s) do you get the most questions at this time?
Most questions are especially about "Zelda I" and a bit less about "Zelda II". It happens that these two adventures stay equally difficult and exciting. After the Zelda-adventures comes "Super Mario Bros. 3". And also about a rather new game "Maniac Mansion" I have to answer more questions over and over again.
Besides, I regularly get questions about solutions and situations in "Shadowgate" too.

6. What do you think of the new Super Nintendo and the games that belong with it?
Fantastic. In one word. It's just like a cartoon. Very beautiful backgrounds. The characters move very naturally. And then the colors. Very, very beautiful!

7. Which Super Nintendo games do you know?
Those are "Super Mario World" and "Pilot Wings". And of course "Super Tennis" and "Super Golf". And I predict, that especially "Super Mario World' will become a super hit!

8. At last. What are three favorite Game Boy games?
Bugs Bunny is number one. Super Mario Land two and Boxxle is for me number three!
