This
is very interesting cartridge. It's one of those
multi-cartridges that doesn't have a menu, but you go to
the next game by pressing the reset button on your NES.
Furthermore this cart has a cool white color that I
haven't seen before. The label certainly doesn't look bad
either, on the back of the cart there are the letters NEW
SPICA inscripted.. The cart claims to have four games on
it, and there are indeed four games on it! Let's see
which games they are:
1. NY Yankies
You probably
haven't heard of this name, but this is the Japanese name
of the underrated platformer Rockin' Kats! This game is
worth your time and you won't find it on a multi-cart quickly.
2.
Darkwing Duck
That's right!
Who thought that there were only early Famicom titles on
multi-carts is wrong! Darkwing Duck is a game by Capcom
released at the end of the NES' lifetime. It's often
referred to as 'Mega Man 7' for NES. It's a great game
that offers a good challenge, and plays similar to the
NES Mega Man games. Interesting fact is that the
copyright info was not deleted in this game.
3.
Indiana Jones
Referred to as
'Indiana Jones' on the label, this is actually 'The Young
Indiana Jones Chronicles'. I have to admit that I haven't
really played this game so far. While the graphics seem
to be looking good, the game isn't considering it's in
the Hall of Lame at RoyalRanger's NES
Site.
4.
Turtle Fighter
The last game
on the cart is the rarest turtles game for the NES,
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters. Except
for Urban Champion, this is the only one-on-one fighting
game released for the NES and it does the job quite well.
Copyright info was not deleted here, I guess the pirates
were lazy again.
In
short this a very good multi-cart. Although it features
only four games, these four games are all pretty hard to
find games and pretty late releases. If you can find this
cart, get it!
