News Archive: 2002

22 December 2002:
An article has been added, it's about a letter I've read in a German Club Nintendo magazine. Enjoy!

11 December 2002:
Added an introduction page, and as you've seen The NES Fountain has received its first award, being The Warp Zone's site of the month! There's a new article (rant) at the Articles. I've also changed the 800x600 index site a bit. There is also a relatively new NES site online, EightBit Online, be sure to check it out, it can also be found at the Links page. Last and also least, some small changes in the 'We didn't made it' list at the Europe Section. Expect another update soon.

22 November 2002:
New design! What's updated: added some manuals, updated collections to .txt format and added Rad Gravity NSF in the shrine (thanks to Memblers!). Updated the PAL-only games list, added screen shots to the Rad Racer review, and updated my beaten games list with the SNES games Asterix and Lucky Luke. Furthermore I changed some little stuff, not important enough to mention.

6 November 2002:
The NES Fountain has been moved to Silius Networks! Please update your bookmarks and links to http://nesfountain.silius.net. Nothing has been updated, but it sure looks better without ad banners and pop-ups!

5 November 2002:
Added Mega Man 5 (PAL) box art. Thanks goes to eBay user suicidekiller for these scans. In the pirate section I added pictures of the actual carts to the already existing articles. In the Europe Section, 'Different name, same game' and 'We didn't made it' have been updated. Also updated are the links page, all my collections , my beaten games and last but not least there's a new version of the Australian/European SNES list online.

20 September 2002:
Europe section and pirate section were updated. At the Europe section the different name, same game page was changed and the PAL-only games page is online. Also the Club Nintendo page is online, which also includes some cover scans! At the pirate section there are two articles online about two different NES multi-carts. The accessories has been updated, and the Links page is updated as well!

25 July 2002:
Update! New scans added to the box art section, mainly euro-only. Review of Rad Racer is up. Collections updated, and the different name, same game page over at the Europe Section, Super Adventure Quests added. I got that game today, yay! And the early version of the European SNES list is now online! Now I have to hurry, because I'm going to France for a week, and I'm leaving within two hours, see you! (I hope I find Dragonball in a trashcan over there :)

21 May 2002:
Due to some troubles, this update took a bit longer than planned. Updated the Rad Gravity shrine, with the Rad Gravity and Planets section, and added a background to it. Please don't use the animated GIFs, if you really want to contact me first about it. Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! review was added, screen shots will be added later. Beaten games list was updated, as well as the 'We didn't made it' list in the Europe section. Some links were removed and added a few.

13 April 2002:
Yay an update! First I added the Vehicles and Credits sections to the Rad Gravity shrine. Second I updated my collections and beaten game list. That's it. Third I updated the 'We didn't made it' list in the Europe Section. This time thanks go to Klarth for giving me information. Next time I will update the links. It sucks to update that section all the time, especially because of those 'mongolen' of the NES Fandom.

26 March 2002:

The 'we didn't made it' list in the Europe Section has been updated. Some games on the list were released in Europe, like Star Force, Tecmo Cup Soccer and The Terminator. I got also some information about Iceland. Thanks goes to Oyvind Sundstrom from Norway and Sverker Johansson from Sweden. I also added the (bit outdated) complete NES list from Millert. Bad news is that my scanner couldn't be fixed. I really begin to hate these things.

21 March 2002:
This is not an update, but just to let you know I'm very busy at the moment. However my scanner will be fixed within a few days I hope and I'm working on a review.

22 February 2002:
In this week's update I added the Bosses section of the Rad Gravity shrine. I also added two links to the Temple of the NES and Yoichi's Temple of Fiends Revisited.

15 February 2002:
Another update. I added box art for Krazy Kreatures, Mermaids of Atlantis and Venice Beach Volleyball. Thanks to TRM from the great NES site The Warp Zone for the scans. Oh and I saw that my background wasn't on the top 10 article, I fixed it and it's there.

14 February 2002:
Happy Valentine's Day. Especially for today I made a Top 10 NES Valentine games. You can find it at the Articles. Also updated some other collections.

13 February 2002:

The Rad Gravity shrine opened today with the Enemies. Added a link to NES World Wide and fixed the link of the Blaster Master shrine.

8 February 2002:
Ok, I fixed some faults in the site today. I also added NES Chedda, NES Horsemen, Grand NEStral Station and NES On Ice to the Links. Added 2 accessories in my NES collection: Terminator 2 joystick and a Batman joystick. Also added Mike Etler's rarity list.
Oh, and please link to me :)

6 February 2002:
Finally my site is back, with a new look! As you may know the one before didn't really have a "NESish" look. I think it has now! I'm sorry but my banner has become wet due to the flowing NES Fountain. Another problem with my old site was that the menu did not always work, I don't use frames now anymore, because of that I now have a banner on my site instead of an irritating pop-up. The goal for this site is to inform you about the wonderful Nintendo Entertainment System.
