A few
pictures on the label, two Bowsers on the SMB-pic and
stupid looking ninja turtles. Like most multi-carts this
one has a menu where you can select the game you want to
play. It's nothing special, just a list with a cursor,
and no sound. This isn't really a bad thing because the
games on this cart all make up for that. Here you go:
1.
New Ghostbusters II
No, this is
not the Activision game, it's the PAL-only version made
by HAL! It's much better. The game has an overhead view,
quite similar to Zelda. At the beginning you must pick
two out of five Ghostbusters and your adventure begins.
One Ghostbuster has the gun , and the other has the ghost
trap. The latter one cannot be hit. New Ghostbusters II
is a really fun game to play and it's great to find it on
a multi-cart!
2.
G.I. Joe: The Atlantis Factor
The second
G.I. Joe game for the NES and it's made by Taxan. This
game wasn't released in Europe, and I haven't played it
yet. However I heard it's good and I'm happy to find it
on this cart.
3.
Super Mario IV
Ha, and you
thought SMB 3 was the last SMB-game for the NES. Although
it's referred as 'Super Mario Bros. III' on the label, it
really isn't. This game is a hack of the Famicom game
called 'Amarillo' (correct me if I'm wrong). The original
character has, of course, been replaced by Mario who now
can turn into a ball to defeat his enemies.
4.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project
The third TMNT
game is very similar to the second one, but offers some
new moves. Great game to find for me, especially because
this was the only NES turtle game that wasn't released in
Europe.
5. Tokkyuu Shirei
Solbrain
This game is the Japanese version of "Shatterhand". It's an action
game which features cinematic scenes. It's sort of a mix
between Batman and Probotector (because you also play as
a robot in this game). I only have played the first
stage, but it seems to be a good game.
6.
Batman
One of my
favorite NES game doesn't need an introduction. Great
action games with great graphics and sound and a perfect
challenge. The pirates were lazy because Sunsoft's
copyright info is still present.
7.
Adventure Island II
Second
installment of the famous Adventure Island series. Better
than the first game, but nothing great too. The pirates
must have thought this game is so great that ,out of
respect for Hudson Soft, they didn't delete the copyright
info.
8.
Super C
The Japanese
version of Super C is also on this cart, if anyone knows
the exact Japanese title please let me know. Great action
game, 2-player simultaneous, this game is just a blast!
9.
RoboCop 2
Cool to see on
a multi-cart, but I wouldn't really recommend this Ocean
game. Game really suffers from bad play control.
10.
Jackie Chan's Action Kung-Fu
Fun game, this
is the Japanese version (anyone know the title?). In the
menu the game is called 'China Dragon' and on the label
as 'Spartan II'. Therefore I expected the unreleased game
Kung Fu 2, but it wasn't. Jackie Chan's Action Kung-Fu is
game with funny graphics, good play control and a welcome
addition to this multi-cart.
11.
Ninja Gaiden III
Yes, it's the
last game of the Ninja Gaiden trilogy. Unfortunately I
don't understand a word of it because this is the
Japanese version. I'm glad it's on this cart, because
also this game wasn't released in Europe, only the first
two games from the trilogy were.
12.
Double Dragon III: The Rosetta Stone
This is just
the Japanese version of DD III: The Sacred Stones. Thos
Double Dragon game offers some new cool moves and certain
enemoes will join you as you travel a long. The game seems impossible at
first, but after some practice it isn't as hard as it seems.
13.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game
The second
TMNT game is also on the cart, joy! Lazy pirates again,
they didn't delete the Konami/Ultra Games info.
Overall
this is the BEST multi-cart I know so far. It offers
thirteen big NES games, and most of them are worth your
time. Next to that it's very nice to see rare games like
New Ghostbusters II and Super Mario IV on this cart, and
of course the non-euro releases.
